Phonovation’s commercial development involved both reaching prospective customers and being found by them. The opportunity was to strengthen those complementary routes so digital activity could contribute more broadly to the sales effort.
Outbound brings the proposition towards selected prospects. Inbound activity and search help interested people encounter the business. Tracking and attribution make those routes easier to examine together, so the discussion can consider where response originates and how it progresses. The disciplines perform different jobs while contributing to the same commercial purpose.
CSM worked with the company on digital strategy over a period of months. Paul Dowling, its sales manager, connected that work with improvements in outbound marketing, inbound marketing and SEO.
The growth-system logic is clear. Outbound takes the business towards prospective customers. Inbound activity gives interested people a way to encounter the business. SEO supports discovery when people search. Each route performs a different function in developing commercial interest.
Bringing those areas into the same strategic relationship gives the business a basis for developing its market reach coherently. The work concerns the paths through which customers can begin a relationship with Phonovation.
We also deployed the data and conversion foundations behind the growth system: tracking pixels, analytics, source tracking and attribution, together with multiple offers, funnels, landing pages and enquiry paths. These connected audience response with the journey towards an enquiry and made performance visible across its stages.
The system operated as a continuous feedback loop. Tracking and attribution informed where attention was coming from and how people progressed; those insights guided improvements to offers, pages and conversion points; subsequent activity supplied the next set of signals. This gave the business a repeatable way to improve acquisition and conversion, reduce guesswork and develop growth more predictably over time.
Sales manager Paul Dowling reported improvements in inbound and outbound marketing and a boost in Google SEO. Those are qualitative client-reported outcomes. The lasting foundation is a broader acquisition approach that the sales operation can keep developing, with measurement available to guide attention across the routes to market.
Paul reported good increases in inbound and outbound marketing and a boost in Google SEO.
