The challenge
Kersia Group aimed to document and share their impactful clean water initiatives in Africa, specifically their efforts in Kenyan schools. The challenge was to create an authentic, engaging documentary that resonated with global audiences and showcased both the technological and human impact of Kersia's work. Overcoming logistical complexities of filming in remote areas and ensuring the narrative aligned with Kersia's mission and brand values were key to successfully highlighting their leadership in the water purification industry. The ultimate goal was to use this documentary as a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring action worldwide.
Our process
Having worked closely with Kersia Group on their digital transformation over the past year, this documentary project emerged as a natural extension of our collaboration. The aim was to capture their story in a way that would resonate with their stakeholders, customers, and wider audience.
The process began with deep discovery, where we engaged with Kersia’s team to fully understand their product, mission, and the challenges they face. This phase was crucial in aligning the content with their brand values and ensuring that the documentary would be as authentic and impactful as possible. We delved into the specifics of their work in Africa, learning about the technology behind their water purification systems and the difference it makes to people’s lives.
Step One: In-Depth Discovery
Our videography team then travelled to Kenya for the production phase. This was the most exciting and challenging part of the project—capturing the real-world application of Kersia’s water purification solutions in some of the most deprived areas. We documented their efforts to bring clean water to schools, highlighting both the technological innovation and the human impact of their work.
Filming in Africa presented its own logistical hurdles, but our experienced crew managed the complexities to ensure that every moment was captured effectively. The documentary featured interviews with key figures from Kersia, local beneficiaries, and educators, offering a comprehensive view of the initiative’s success.
We created a variety of content formats, including both short-form and long-form videos, to meet different needs. Whether it was for social media, internal communication, or as a sales tool, we ensured that the final product was versatile and engaging.
Step two: On-Site Production in Africa
The film has become an invaluable asset for Kersia’s internal teams and distributors alike. It is now used for sales presentations, awareness campaigns, and corporate communications, helping to position Kersia as a leader in the water purification space.
Step three: Sharing the Story Globally
In conclusion
The feedback on this project has been overwhelmingly positive. From distributors to internal stakeholders, the documentary has proven to be a powerful tool in sharing Kersia’s story and amplifying their mission. It continues to raise awareness about the critical work they are doing in Africa and beyond.
This project is a shining example of the power of storytelling to drive awareness, inspire action, and make a lasting impact. We are proud to have played a role in this journey and look forward to future collaborations with Kersia Group as they continue their important work.
